As for love...

2016 Nov 23

As for love,
Expect it not to last forever
As though it were an everlasting stella above the skies,
For they burn to the core on self-substantial fuel,
And the brighter they look, the closer to darkness
Forever.
Expect it not,
Expect it not to be the manas which rains from heaven,
For it certainly is not a gift from God
For those who roam the deserts;

Food is never granted, and there's toil
Before reaping your harvest;
Expect not from love to nourish
While you're desperate.
Love,
It ripes not from hope,
And it does not spring from time
Or the conquest of patience,
Love
Is what you do to seize and lose the moment,
That air in your lungs,and that sweat
Nestled between your breasts like unsteady drops that ebb and flow,
It is a breath of fire cuddled within our lips,
The death of words before the birth of touch:
A second that turns into ashes
Awaiting to be born.
