Into The Lake

poema de Lucienne

The ice sings underneath the starry night
Flashes of light beneath the film
Reveal the creatures of the mind
That reflect the sparks of the skies

Virgin lake, untouched, undiscovered
Pierced by this old, golden sword
The creatures of the mind ablaze all at once
The screen beneath the ice illuminates the pines

Slowly, but surely, the man with the sword got in the hole in the ice
The creatures surround him, look into his eyes
Curious as to how he survived
They swam along, lighting his path,
Disappearing into the lake
To never come back
