The Plant

2:36am. My Signature Poem: Dear Friends and Relatives in 2005 my poem "The Plant" was given an award by the International Poets Assn. in Washington, DC. Since that time, this poem has been translated in Spanish, Italian, French and Portuguese: I will be posting the poem in each language. I hope you enjoy it, think about someone you truly love when you read it.
The Plant
English Version:
In your beauty there is a mystery.
If I do not take care of you, you become sad.
If I do not give you water, you will be thirsty and dry up...

I will take care of you, so that you will be happy, beautiful and green....
And when I see you, I will talk to you, so that you will smile and keep on growing...

With my hands I will touch you tenderly, and you will feel my love and care forever....

At the start of each new day, I will take you outside so that the rays of sun will shine on you and give you warmth...

I will be so proud of you, because many will admire you, and I will be so happy....

At night I will protect you so that you will not feel the cold, or an uncomfortable feeling, and I will always keep you close to my heart...

And the next day once again, I will take care of you, I will demonstrate my tender love and care for you.

I will always keep you close to my heart.
